Mizusashi (水指)
A fresh-water pot for tea ceremony.
It's one of the tea utensils called "o-chadougu".
It comes in a variety of shapes, cylindrical type is often used.
Comes with a lid.
Lid made of pottery : the same material as the main body called tomo-buta.
Lid made of urushi : a different material from the main body and is made of Japanese urushi called nuri-buta.
Mizusashi is used for the following purpose.
・Adding water to the tea kettle
・Cleaning tools and tea bowl.
