Kikka Naga-sara (菊花長皿)
This is a Mikawachi ware plate which Satomi-san has created.
It's the reproduction of the work from the Edo period (1615-1868).
The dish is molded in the chrysanthemums-shape.
It's soft and thin finished.
It's suitable for somen, Japanese thin noodles made of wheat flour.
Safe in the microwave, oven as well as dishwasher-safe.

Toshitaka-san is the eighth generation potter of the Kakusho-gama that has a history over 400 years. He makes plain blue painting of sometsuke by hand-painting that's exactly the characteristic of Mikawachi ware.
