Hagi Chawan (萩茶碗)
This is a Hagi ware tea bowl which Okada-san has created.
The tea bowl has traditional loquat color in Hagi ware.
We call the pattern cherry blossoms "sakura" or fireflies by regarding them as the season, because mottled pink dots are seen.
The quality called "tsuchiaji" is soft, deep sense of touch like texture.
This type of tea bowl is very familiar in the tea ceremony.
Height : 7.9 cm
Width : 14.7 cm
Yasushi-san has majored in sculpture at the Tokyo Zokei University. He grew up in the traditional Hagi ware pottery, then he simply creates a new trend in ceramic art.
