The title is Washizome Kamon Bira Hachi (和紙染花文ビラ鉢).
This is a bowl created by Nakao Hidezumi.
He shaped the plate with throwing on a potter’s wheell and expressed the petals pattern by washizome technique.
The dish has the good indigo color shade at the of soft, waving edge.
Washizome technique :
Tearing absorbent paper called washi to pieces.
Making such papers layers to produce the pattern while giving out color gradation.
Height : 5.6 cm
Diameter : 18.7 cm
He cuts water-absorbent Japanese washi to the proper size, places the paper on unglazed pottery, and soaks it with cobalt blue color. The works affect us with a soft impression.
