Japanese-made porcelain
The title is Kokuji Platinum Hakkosai Hirabachi (黒磁プラチナ箔巧彩平鉢).
This is a colored porcelain bowl created by Sato Norikatsu.
The body is blackened during the firing process each time he paints underglaze and overglaze enamel.
He uses Japanese "urushi"and platium foils are baked to attach the work.
A flat bowl that's suitable for many purposes, because he uses the black glaze that associates Japanese urushi at the bottom.
