This is a bottle created by Takemura Shigeo.

・Japanese Haiyu (ash glaze)
Ash glaze is an old ceramic technique that creates natural glass-like glazes from wood ash.
The feature is simple and gentle colors with flowing expression by using differents type of plant burnt ash.
Kiln transformation like the subtle changes peculiar to natural ash glaze occur, producing passionate colors.
There may be areas where the glaze is thickly accumulated, which is konwn as "vidro".

・Japanese Tokkuri (sake bottle)
A type of bottles mainly used for drinking Japanese sake, which is known as "Nihonshu".
It would be good to think about a sake container with a narrow neck.
Fill the bottle up to 90% full of Japanese sake.
And covering the lid with plastic wrap will prevent the aroma from escaping.

Takemura-san is a ceramist whose expert is making haiyu ceramic.

The ash used in the glaze was a unique blend.
It is made of loquat tree from which he has collected.
The resulting blue color is the hue of the components contained in the ash.
