Hiradokakusho Kiln is the place of fifteen minutes' drive from Sasebomikawachi interchange of Nishi Kyushu expressway. The pottery has been historical that extends over 400 years, whose ancestor was Nakazato Shigemon who built Hirado clan’s kiln. Its last name was changed to Satomi by the son of the third generation potter, they worked hard to improve the technique. But the Meiji government dominated on behalf of Edo shogunate, and the clan’s kiln system was abolished. Hidarokakusho Kiln determined to be independent of the clan which had no protective policy. The fifth merchant Yonosuke-san named Kakusho for trading, they devoted to making excellent porcelain. It is possible to look at the kiln, make with the potter’s wheel and paint. They have taken over the technique of underglaze blue called seika by hand-painting in Mikawachi-yaki.

He makes plain blue painting of sometsuke by hand-painting that's exactly the characteristic of Mikawachi ware.
