Sawada Kiln is the place of ten minutes' drive from the Katsuta station, JR Joban Line. The kiln is also the place of twenty minutes' drive from the Naka interchange of Joban expressway. It is located at a quiet residential area with the gas kiln in wide working place in Hitachinaka-shi, Ibaraki prefecture. Old Katsuta-shi and old Nakaminato-shi were merged into present Hitachinaka-shi in 1994. Great access to downtown Mito-shi and it is said to be prominent industrial city with rich fish grounds catching such as pikes, bonitos, squids, salmon roe and echinus from the seaside. Sawada-san was graduated from the university, then determined to be a ceramic artist and developed skill under his-father in the workplace.

He adds originality to contemporary Kasama ware by making contrast and using engraving line.
