Ogata was a painter in the middle of Japanese Edo period (1690-1780).
The kohakubai picture - the rising and dropping branches while bending is so appeals to us.
It was painted on Japanese folding screen (byobu).
This is certainly the spirit that Japanese could feel from its picture.
The material of frame is made from acrylic glass.
This pottery painting is better to avoid areas exposed to ultraviolet rays.
It might change color from long direct sunlight.
