Aiiro Shino Kaki (藍色志野花器)
This is a Mino ware vase which Sakai-san has created.
Sakai-san has been working to create original Shino-style apart from fixed notion.
It's important to stretch with a few quantity of clay while turning the potter's wheel.
He hopes people to know about this special coloring.
By creating a sense of tension, the shape matches the color.
That has turned into his own technique.
The vase has 52 centimenters in diameter.
The high level by throwing potter's wheel is shown to the work.

Aiiro Shino (藍色志野)
The technique called nezumi-shino.
It's one kind of Mino-yaki.
He got a hint from that.
Applying cobalt-blue slip between glaze and clay.
It reaches to a gentle and elegant pattern.
Kairagi (梅皮花)

Cracks like shark's skin like the picture above.
It has occured to shrinkage of glaze after being fired in a kiln.
It's also called kannyu in Japanese.
That's anything but broken, certailny available.
Sakai-san wants users to see the tension that the pattern brings.
