Washizome Sakuramon Futamono (和紙染桜文蓋物)
This is an Arita ware covered dish which Hidezumi-san has created.
He attached pieces of traditional papers to the body and expressed the cherry petals pattern.
"Sakura" is one of the flowers that represent Japan, so it's great as a gift in all seasons.
Washizome technique :
Tearing absorbent paper called washi to pieces.
Making such papers layers to produce the pattern while giving out color gradation.
