Japanese-made pottery
The title is Haiyu Tokkuri (灰釉徳利).
This is a sake bottle created by Takemura Shigeo.
He uses the glaze made by cedar tree-ash ingeredients.
As you see, there are many lines like meandering river made by comb.
While he turns the potter's wheel to shape bottle, the patterns are naturally made by drawing vertically.
Height : 12.6 cm
Width : 7.8 cm
Takemura-san is a ceramicist who engages in creative activities in Yamashina-ku, Kyoto prefecture. It’s interesting that color changes depending on settings, temperature and a part of plants, though same glaze is used.
