Iroe Platinum Hakkosai Yori Ujo-Ki (色絵プラチナ箔巧彩縒雨条器)
This is a colored porcelain cup which Sato-san has created.
Two kinds of blue color are painted in overglaze enamel.
He uses Japanese "urushi"and pastes platinum foils.
Shredded paper tapes are used as masking in the upper part of the body, that's "yori".

If you look outside on a rainy day, a wide variety of colored umbrellas might be able to come and go.
With colors that looks through gap between foils, Sato expresses the rain pattern indirectly.
